I read 104 pages of this 283-page book and decided to bail. The author has a voice I didn’t care for and the story seemed to be deliberately made hard to follow. I’m looking forward to reading a Roosevelt biography soon, and I thought this might be a good way to become familiar with the outline of his life first, but I think I’ll just wait.
