I know Michael Kupperman from his Tales Designed to Thrizzle (which is very funny). This book is about his father, who was famous as a kid/teenager for being on a radio and later TV show called Quiz Kids. The experience became traumatic for him over time, and it led him to repress memories from much of his childhood.
